Very unprofessional. After seeing my husband and diagnosing him with bronchitis they wrote him a prescription for medication he needed a machine to use. With out asking if we had the machine in question. He just assumed we had one without asking. When I called back to ask if they could write him a prescription for the machine the woman I spoke to blamed my husband for not saying he did not have one (he was not told he needed the machine until he filled the script. He was under the impression it was for an inhaler not a breathing machine). They refused to give him a prescription for the machine and are making him wait until a family doctor is available in a week when he needs to return to work on monday.
The front desk ladies aren't always the nicest but the drs and nurses are AMAZING.
Dr. Groban and nurse Sara took excellent care of me during a difficult time. I showed up in extreme stomach pain, they listened to my long story, ordered a ct scan right away and pain medicine. He diagnosed my issue and ordered meds to help heal my stomach. I'm grateful that Sparta has such a nice ER and a caring staff!
Though we only have one hospital in Alleghany county, we are lucky to have friendly, local staff to take care of us.
Alleghany is ALWAYS good to me. Dr. Grogen was amazing. I was fighting sickness for 6 months and because of him (after 3 ERs and multiple drs visits) I found out I have Lymes Disease among other things.
ER staff will call the police to have you arrested if you all for help dealing with policy issues. Horrible people who represent the very worst of civilisation, and provide medical care that is on par with the customer service. Visit only if you want to be left to be left to die while your loved ones are imprisoned for trying to see you!
